01. WHAT TYPE OF PHOTO BOOTH IS THE FIREFLY BOOTH?
Firefly offers both open-air concept photo booths and enclosed options for some packages. Our pro models feature pro-level cameras and studio flash and all the booths have great lighting. 02. WHERE IS THE PRICING ON THE WEBSITE?
Since event needs and locations vary, we ask for a little info so we can custom tailor an experience and quote for your event. Use the contact us form to get a quick and easy quote. **Please note contacting us directly by phone or email will get you the best pricing as we are always running specials for certain services, areas, or days of the week**
03. DO YOU PRICE MATCH OR OFFER DISCOUNTS?
We pride ourselves in being the best value in the area but that doesn’t always mean we will be the least expensive. With multiple styles of booths available and several years in the business, we feel like we have a booth for every budget. Corporate clients booking multiple days of service, multiple locations/cites or long term lease of Firefly Booths may qualify for volume discounts. We also have running specials weekly.
04. IS A PHOTO BOOTH / TECHNICIAN INCLUDED?
A Firefly Booth attendant is always included and some packages come standard with a two person team! Our onsite attendants keep things runs smoothly, engage events guests and help manage the line. We offer unmanned booth and staff training for agencies who sign up for our booth by mail program or book multiple trade show days. Our booth by mail program and drop off service does not have an attendant (*available in select areas*)
05. WE HAVE OUR OWN BACKDROP, CAN WE GET A DISCOUNT?
Stylish accent walls, floral backdrops, paper and other home made backdrops can look great and we welcome you to bring them. All our packages come standard with a choice of sequin backdrops. If you have your own backdrop, please let us know at the time of booking. Use of our backdrops are included but removal does not affect the price of the service.
06. ARE THERE PROPS FOR PEOPLE TO USE?
Props are included with all of our packages except the booth by mail program. Some of our booth also have virtual props that guests can select and drag using a fingertip. Our graphics team can even you’re your own custom and virtual props upon request
07. DO YOU REQUIRE POWER?
Our Solo, Curve and REVO 360 photo booth can operate without an outlet for a ½ day while all our other booth require a standard 10-15 amp wall outlet.
08. HOW MUCH SPACE IS REQUIRED FOR THE PHOTO BOOTH?
Most of our set ups work best with an 8ft x 8ft footprint with an additional 8ft height clearance for backdrops. The 360 REVO models require 10ft x 10ft or 13ft x 13ft if an enclosure is part of your package. If you are looking at booking a 360 camera array please contact us as these set ups are custom.
09. WHAT IS THE GUEST EXPERIENCE LIKE?
Each Firefly Booth model has its own unique experience. Almost all our booths are open-air concept booths which allows other guests to see the excitement and join in. You can watch some short clips HERE to see some of our booths in action from a guest perspective.
10. CAN THE PHOTOS BE CUSTOMIZED?
Every photo, GIF or video clip captured with a Firefly Booth can be customized with overlays, filters, branded, graphic effects, virtual props* and green screen backgrounds* Each of these options can be turned on or off to create a custom experience for your guests!
11. HOW DO GUESTS GET THEIR PHOTO?
Within a few moments snapping a memory guests can see their image on a touch screen display. If we have a reliable wifi connection at your venue, the photos will be uploaded to an on-line gallery immediately and guests an text, email or post photos to social media.
12. WHAT IS A GIF?
A GIF, or graphic interchange format, is basically a series of images placed together to make a short, video clip that plays on repeat. Firefly Photo Booth uses this technology to create amazing guest experiences. We offer 4 different types of GIFs: standard, burst, old time and boomerang!
13. CAN WE BOOK MORE TIME IF OUR EVENT RUNS LONGER THAN ORIGINALLY?
We are happy to extend our service time to “photo-tain” you and your guests. If you would like to add additional time, please let our team member know and we will confirm availability. We will invoice you for the additional hour(s) following your event.
14. WHAT IF I WANT MY PHOTO BOOTH SET UP HOURS BEFORE THE START TIME, OR FOR THE BOOTH TO STOP MID-EVENT FOR A WHILE?
Firefly offers “idle time” for instances like this. If you need an idle hour before, during, or even after the photo booth time please let us know before booking. A detailed timeline from you event planner will help our team create the perfect photo booth outline for your event, including detailed pricing information.
15. IS SET-UP AND TEAR-DOWN INCLUDED IN SERVICE TIME?
Firefly never charges extra for setup or breakdown. When send a quote we are quoting the active hours of service. Typically we arrive 1-1 ½ hrs before the event start time for set-up and break down takes about 30 minutes. Some of our booths like the 180 Slide, REVO and Array Booth take a little longer to set up and break tear-down. Our booth by mail program has simple instructions so that you can set up and break down easily.
16. DO YOU HAVE PROPS?
Of course!? All of our packages include full use of our prop kit. We provide an assortment of hats, signs, glasses, boas and more for your guests to dress up and have fun in while in the photo booth. Some packages even come with virtual props and snap chat style wearable props that move with your guests.
17. WHAT IS A WRAP?
Our team can take your graphics or design fresh new ones and cover the booth with vinyl. This allows a great branding opportunity or style feature to match the event. We offer decal, partial warp and full wrap options.
A Partial Wrap is one solid color strip of vinyl. Logo(s) are placed on the front and the back of the booth.
A Full Wrap covers the whole front and back of the booth in whatever design or color you would like!
A Decal is like a large sticker that we place on the front face frame of the booth
18. WHAT AREAS DOES FIREFLY SERVICE?
Our team has locations in Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach , Miami and the Florida Keys, Austin & San Antonio Texas, Atlanta Georgia and San Francisco California. Our partner network covers about a dozen other states and is growing so please get in touch so we can confirm availability. Our booth by mail program allows us to ship our products to anywhere in the USA. Corporate clients can get in touch for international trade shows.
19. BACKGROUND OPTIONS?
Firefly booth come standard with a choice of beautiful sequin backdrops. Green screen backgrounds, tension fabric backdrops, enclosures and custom set design backdrops are also available as an add-on feature.
20. WHAT LIGHTING OPTIONS DO YOU HAVE?
A good photo is made great by the right lighting! All of our booth come with a constant lighting source. The PRO models have studio flash and the 180 and 360 photo booths have their own multi light set up.
21. IS THERE AN ATTENDANT AT THE EVENT?
Yes! Our team members will take care of setting up the equipment prior to your scheduled start time. They will remain onsite to make sure your guests are familiar with how to use the photo booth and engage with event guests. When the event is over they will take down all the equipment and remove it from the venue.
22. SCRAP BOOK or GUEST BOOKS?
While we used to offer this service to our wedding clients we found that every wedding style is different. Rather than limit all brides and grooms the same few choices of album, we found it better to always offer unlimited prints, provide metallic markers and let wedding clients bring the album of their choice. This results in a custom experience that costs wedding client ZERO. We can also provide links to our favorite affordable album resources.
23. HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
We recommend booking once you have finalized the date with a venue. Spring, fall and holiday’s book very early. Typically we advise clients to book 3 months in advance, if possible.
24. WHAT ABOUT SALES TAX?
Our automated booking system will calculate the full price of your booth including any applicable sales tax. Everything will be itemized for you. Florida State law requires all photographers to charge sales tax for photo booth rentals. We comply with the law. If you are a 501C non-profit organization or are exempt from sales tax, we are happy to exempt the sales tax from your package but you must provide us with a completed NC E-595E sales tax exemption form.

1. What is a GIF?
A GIF, or graphic interchange format, is basically a series of images placed together to make a short, soundless video clip that plays on repeat. Firefly Photo Booth uses this technology to create amazing guest experiences.
2. Will my guests use the GIF Photo Booth?
It will be a hit for sure! With a little instruction from our staff the first group your guests will make their GIF in less than a minute. Once the rest of the guests see the fun or the GIF that group one shares digitally..it will be on like Donkey Kong!
3. What is a Boomerang GIF?
A Boomerang GIF captures 8-20 images very quickly, combines them, then plays them forward and backwards on a repeating loop.
4. What is a standard GIF?
A standard GIF is 3-4 photos captured individually and combined to make an animation.
5. How can my guests share the GIF from the photo booth?
After guests create a GIF, they can choose whether to share it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Guests can also send it to their phone via SMS or email it so it can be downloaded later. Firefly will also put them all in an on-line gallery and send you a link, so guests can view the GIF’s from the event and download them.
6. Can the GIF be customized?
