BLACK PRESIDENT
Candice Eberhardt is the first Black woman to be the President of the Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors in its more than 100 years of existence.
LES CARNEY
Lester Nelson “Les” Carney (born March 31, 1934) is a retired American sprinter who won a silver medal in the 200 m at the 1960 Olympics.
WESLEY TEMPLE AME
Dating back to 1866, Wesley Temple AME Zion Church at 104 N. Prospect St. is the oldest Black congregation in Akron.
